Who founded Lollapalooza?
The festival actually started as a farewell tour for the band “Jane’s Addiction” spearheaded by frontman Perry Farrell. Following the 1991 farewell tour Farrell kept it running with other bands headlining until 1997. In 2005, Perry Farrell joined forces with Capital Sports Entertainment, a Texas based entertainment company, and restructured the logistical execution into what it is today - a Chicago staple with international chapters.
